The festival’s official address is 1719 Plass, Topeka, KS 66621. You may park wherever is available. We recommend the lot of the Bradbury Alumni Center in the map shown here.
Accessibility
In keeping with the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Kansas Act against Discrimination, the Kansas Book Festival endeavors to make all programming as accessible as possible and to prevent any discrimination based on sex, race, color, national origin, religion, disability, age, or marital status.
Washburn University provides ADA-approved entrances and elevators where needed. For a map of accessible entrances, please click here. We can arrange a golf cart for people needing assistance from parking areas to entrances, and the designated buildings include wheelchair accessible water fountains. Books featured at the Festival are in English, implying an English-speaking audience, so we do not provide language interpreters. However, we will provide a sign-language interpreter for the keynote address, and we will supply microphones and amplification in the larger meeting spaces.
Non-Discrimination Resources: The Festival is free and open to the public, including people of all races, sexual orientations, nationalities, religious persuasions, ages, or abilities. If there is any concern about discrimination, please contact Lara Avery at ksbookfestival@gmail.com.
